A T-shirt personally autographed by Tohoshinki has been successfully auctioned off at a high price.
Japanese company Avex held a charity auction, “A-Nation for Life” from September 5th to September 14th to help the victims of the huge earthquake. At this auction where the proceeds from the event will be conveyed to the Red Cross Association, Tohoshinki provided a personally-autographed T-shirt. The words “Keep Your Head Down” were printed on the T-shirt, which was one of the official goods for “A-Nation 10th Anniversary Celebration”, with the members adding their autographs onto the T-shirt. From the time the T-shirt was put up for auction, enthusiastic responses were received. Eventually, on the last day of the auction on the 14th, amidst the bids from 264 people, the T-shirt was finally auctioned off for 511,000 yen (about 7,360,000 won).
The original price of this T-shirt was 3,000 yen. After the members added their autographs, it was auctioned off at the sky-high level of 170 times* the original price. The never-changing popularity of Tohoshinki, who can aptly be labelled “The Origin of Hallyu”, has once again been recognized.
Tohoshinki had first revealed their new song “B.U.T.” performance at ”SM Town Live in Tokyo Dome”, held from September 2nd to September 4th. Early next year, they have plans to go on tour in Japan.
